Nicky Joe – Pre-Primary Student

I did my Montessori training from Formative Age in 2018-19 and it was an amazing journey! The formulation of the syllabus is very meticulous, it covers all the aspects of Montessori training. The course is divided into two pars theory and practicals. The information given in theory is easy to understand and comprehend. Smruti ma’am includes a lot of examples and also asks us to think and share possible scenarios related to a particular lesson/point which makes the theory even more interesting. The presentations are explained and shown in a very detailed manner – it is broken down into steps for easy execution. We could clarify endless doubts and she would always answer each one with a smile. Smruti has a very good rapport with each and every student in her class – this encourages us to do better. The course has definitely helped me to reflect on how we can approach not only children but life in general. It changes ones overall perspective towards life!

Preparing for a vocation as important as working with children, cannot be undermined. It requires not only commitment and passion, but also  a deep understanding of the growing child; their needs, their individual developmental paths, and their unique approaches to learning.  The training offered by Formative Age, founded by the dynamic Smruti Gopal, enriches the experience of educators, equipping them mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for their work with children. Rashmi – Formative Age Alum

Montessori based teacher’s training is not just about the beautiful materials and immaculate presentations but imbibing and internalizing its core principles. Formative Age was the perfect platform that transformed me from an egocentric corporate world to the child-centric world as a parent and an educator. The program is well structured and covered everything that we needed to enter the world of teaching with confidence. Smruti has seasoned experience in the field, is full of positivity and enthusiasm and guides with timely constructive feedback. I am very thankful for the enriching learning experience at Formative Age for both Pre-primary and Primary Montessori Teacher’s training.

Arti – Formative Age Alum

I did my pre-primary Montessori training with Formative Age, batch of 2017-18 under the guidance of Mrs. Smruti Gopal. My journey during the course was really good and full of learning. I grew up not only as a person but as a mother too. This course is not only for anyone aspiring to become a Montessori teacher but will be a great  value for any parent in general. Ms Smruti has been a wonderful guide. She is extremely knowledgeable about the subject. The course material, assignments and projects were full of learning and fun together. We used to work for almost 4-5hrs every day after the class during the course, so yes it is a demanding curriculum. However, now when I look back at the result, it gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction that I undertook the course. Although I am not using it professionally yet, since I became a second time parent recently, I have no doubt that my learning during the course helps me be a better mother on a day to day basis. Thanks a lot Formative Age.
Thanks

Center Head, Kinfolk Montessori

I am working for a new start up school in Whitefield, Bangalore. The name of the school is Kinfolk Montessori. We were looking for trained Montessori teachers when we started and then came across Formative Age. The first year we had one teacher from there, and now 4 more. I am thoroughly satisfied with the Montessori Training imparted by the training centre. The teachers are very well trained in the method. Ms. Smruti has done a great job.

Sasikala on the Children’s Yoga course

For many years I wanted to do yoga training, but seeing the yoga poses and their Sanskrit names made me feel scared. I never thought doing yoga is easy and can be taught to young children till I joined Formative Age- Children’s Yoga Teacher Training.

The course is designed with valuable skills and exhaustive explanations on the importance of yoga at a young age.
The practical videos are showing the poses with complete specifications. The poses are broken into simple steps and comfortable to do. The Asanas are given child-friendly names & easy to remember. The poses are related to objects, animals, and birds, it makes me remember them easily.

Breathing exercises explain the importance of pranayama and the fun names given for them make the children do that with interest.

The foremost aspect of yoga, i.e meditation is needed for everyone and this has been explained very ideally through the videos.
On the whole, the course is very interesting and I learned with ease. It changed my thought about Yoga and Meditation positively and I am very grateful to Smruti for the way she guided me throughout the course.

“Yoga is not complex, it can be done with a lot of fun and happiness”- this is my takeaway.

Abhirami – Pre-Primary Montessori Teacher

I have completed my Online Pre Primary Montessori course, from Formative Age, under the guidance of Smruti Ma’am. Words are not enough to tell about how systematically the course was planned. Her each video had so much insight, that whenever I enter the class and pick up a material, I can hear her guiding through.

The biggest achievement was when I was presenting one of the materials, one of the teachers of the school, mentioned, ” You are presenting just like Smruti”. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Every video  is so meticulously executed by ma’am.

Smruti ma’am, not only handholds with Montessori work but also shares her wisdom and insights on parenting, how to be a perfect guide in the class, how to talk to the children. Each time I come across any block either at home or school, my first thought has been – what would Smruti ma’am do – that has helped me a lot. I remember when I was searching for the course, I randomly messaged many people who were having courses, in fact I was almost zeroing one another Institute – but when I had the video call with ma’am I knew she was the one. You can sense her passion when she narrates her teaching anecdotes & her eyes gleam when she talks about the children she has mentored.

Lastly she made a huge impact in my life, I changed my career and I happily embraced Montessori with so much ease because of Smruti ma’am.

If you choose to do get trained as a Montessori teacher,  Formative Age should be your first choice.
