Smruti Gopal is the Director of Formative Age. She has done her Pre-Primary and Primary Montessori training in the United States. Working in schools in the US for more than 6 years and in India for more than 3 years, has helped in her journey of understanding the child. This led her to become a teacher trainer and she has been training teachers for the past 12 years. She has had many opportunities to be a part of workshops conducted by eminent people in the field of child development like Jim Fay and Pat Schaeffer to name a few.
She feels that the philosophy of yoga goes hand in hand with the Montessori philosophy. Yoga has been a part of her life. In order to develop a love for yoga in children she has done level 1 and 2 of “Radiant child yoga teacher training “at Dallas under the guidance of Shaktha Kaur.
Apart from being a teacher trainer, she has helped parents with parenting based on the Montessori philosophy. She has done workshops in companies like Aricent Technologies and Infosys in India. She also provides her support to schools by conducting refresher courses for teachers and by introducing the parents to the philosophy of the Montessori method.
It is her firm belief that “It takes a village to raise a child“ and she will do everything in her capacity to create a world in which the child can flourish.
